Hospital Update----

It is now Monday, and Zach is still at Santa Clara Kaiser in the ICU. He is still on a ventilator and the doctors are hoping that his left lung will get stronger over the next few days and he will be able to breathe on his own. He is under very heavy sedation and pain killers in order to keep him still, so his stitches and stomach can heal.

There is really no end in sight right now or timeline. We are taking each day as it comes. It seems that right now the two blood transfusions he had yesterday night and in the early morning seem to have brought his numbers up to where the doctors want them. Currently, he is also very PUFFY and SWOLLEN the doctors say that is normal due to the amount of times he has been cut open.

Still trying to figure out why he has a fever!!! They took blood cultures last night to see if there are any other infections going on in his body. Those take about 2-3 days to figure out.

Thanks again for every ones, thoughts, prayers, donations, gifts, meals and support.
