Yeah it's Saturday :-)

Zachary's fever finally broke! He has been on antibiotics for almost five days and it seems to have helped. His latest blood work indicated that his white blood cell count is coming down--just very very slowly! We still can't get all his medication into him, since he still can't tolerate that much volume in his stomach at a time. He is up to 35 on the pump (still 15 short of his goal) but he is not dehydrated and is getting nutrition.

He is getting a little more energy each day! He is a full time job right now. You have to be with him or in eye sight of him at all times. He is trying to get up onto his feet and take a few steps, but is still very wobbly. We have gone backwards in time and he is in the "cruising stage" again. He has a walker which my class and my former class all decorated and signed their names. It even has a bicycle bell (THANKS DEANA) so he loves it!

The doctors have decided that he isn't suppose to go to any programs until after the first of the year---that would be the soonest. He is also not suppose to go anywhere for another month. He can go outside for walks, but not to stores. Since, the rest of us are full of germs we just have to be extra careful about hand washing and cleaning.

As of right now I would say he is about the same, a little improvement in his spirits, but still with an elevated white blood cell count I wouldn't say better---yet !

Thanks again for everything people have done. I promise that as time goes on our family will continue the "CIRCLE OF KINDNESS" that we have felt. I just wanted to share some (NOT ALL) of the ways that people have shown acts of kindness......meals, diapers, costco runs, coffee on our porch, clothes for Zachary, sewing shirts for his new tube, gas cards, lots of yummy desserts, books to read, help with picking up our other kiddos, watching the other kids and so much more. All of these acts of kindness are truly appreciated! Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts.
